The sky is gray over Los Angeles, and the air is cold and damp, a good part of the country is covered in snow, so what better thing to think about then the warm days of spring, and the hot, lazy days of summer.About this time of year, is when stores big and small start getting in their spring collections.This year bold patterns are in, epecially florals, loud, bright, beautiful florals hat scream blooming gardens and blossoming trees. Spring is about polka dots, pique, and gingham, sundresses, mini dresses and and bare legs with strappy sandles.

What does My Little Black Dress have for this spring?

I have been scouring through many fabric distributors to get the most beautiful, most springy patterns. In my search, I have found for you some beautiful fabrics by the designer Amy Butler who makes vintage, whimsical and french inspired farics. Here are some of her beautiful ones: I have satin, which is polka dotted in baby pink and chocolate pink and baby blue and chocolate pink, along with the classic black and white and red and white.We have gingham, in black and white, and baby pink and and baby blue and white.

I have also gone through a few distributors that create direct reproductions of fabric from the 1900’s-1970’s. I have chosen a few, include a this strawbery print from the 1950’s, so cute for a shirt waist dress with spagetti straps for a summer picnic. We have great basic fabrics like pique, which falls very nicely and breathes really well in the hot weather. There is also many colors of jersey which is an all year round fabric and a great choice for a wrap dress. Also classic prints like leopard print ( imagine! a leopard print sheath! instant sexy chic!) toile, shirting fabric and assorted florals.

 For that wedding you are going to, we have dresses in many formal fabrics, including Silk Duponi, Dutchess Satin and Crepe back satin in every color you can think of! Just remember that we carry basic four styles of dresses, a sheath, a wrap dress, a shirt waist and an a-line empire waist.
